I would highly recommend White Rose Veterinary in York. They are truly amazing. We recently have been spending a lot of time there with our fur babies. Unfortunately, a few months ago we lost our beloved cat Preacher despite all the efforts Dr. Sylvia did to save him. Over the weekend our 14 year old girl, Della tail died and had to be amputated. Since she came home Tuesday after the surgery and to be expected she was a bit out of it. Wednesday she has been acting like a puppy, being more vocal then ever, perhaps she enjoys the amplification from the cone, she is prancing around despite us reminding her she just had major surgery. Here I thought she would no trouble with recovery and over the Doctors orders to rest since all she did prior to the surgery was be a couch potato. She aged back in time and I am fighting with her to relax. I am so thankful for Dr. Sylvia and her staff. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

Our 11 year old beagle had a mass come up and we brought him in to be seen. I was able to get an appointment within a day or so, and surgery within a week. I have never been so impressed with a vet before. The two at the desk, Mackenzie and Shana were so helpful getting me scheduled, in and explaining everything I needed to know from a financial and scheduling aspect. They put us at ease and made us feel comfortable with the whole situation. Mackenzie even called after his appointment to check and see how he was doing! I don’t think that we’ve ever had anyone do that before at any vet. Our first visit we were greeted by the tech and she was so sweet. She asked what we were concerned about and she took him back to have him given a full look over. The vet, Dr Sylvia was so good- she was very straight forward and you could tell her only concern was what was best for him- and she gave us the good and the what seemed scary but ultimately delivered it with compassion, care and kindness. The day of the surgery, I dropped him off and they were in contact with me all day, even calling to let us know they would like to do additional work since he was already sedated. We picked him up and while he was groggy and sleepy, they gave us next steps, and what to expect. He’s now peacefully resting and we are so glad to have found this little hometown vet with a clear love of animals and not just trying to make a ton of money. Good vets are hard to come by and we are thrilled. Thank you for loving and treating our guy like your own. 🤍

Our baby girl was miserable she is an inside cat but somehow she had fleas. We couldn’t see them . But thank goodness the doctor found them and gave her a shot to calm down the itches, and gave her some flea meds and some for our cats at home. I really like the doctor. She is so loving towards the animals and she explained things so well. Amazing staff . Thank you White Rose Veterinary.

My dad has been avoiding the vet for so long (bc of prior bad experiences) finding Sylvia and this clinic was a HUGE blessing. The staff was wonderful, Sylvia took her time to explain things and hear my father’s concerns regarding his dog. We are so thankful to have found her and this practice. We will be forever patients now. Thank you
