I don't always take my sturdy pit bull to get jabbed needles... but when I do, I like leaving with the same number of holes in my wallet as necessary and a dog that's still convinced I'm her favorite human. Today was Zola's annual vaccine day. If you've ever tried explaining to a pit bull that the place with the treats is also the place where somebody sneaks up with a syringe, you know it's a delicate negotiation. She strutted through the front door like she owned the building... right up until somebody said, "Let's head to the exam room." From the moment we walked in, the staff treated her like family instead of "just another appointment." No rushing, no chaos, just calm people who clearly know that animals can read the room better than most adults. They gave her time to settle, loved on her, and somehow managed to get the vaccines done with way less drama than I had mentally prepared for. The veterinarian took time to answer questions without making me feel like they were trying to sprint to the next room. That's becoming rarer these days, and it didn't go unnoticed. Best part? Five minutes after we walked out, Zola had completely forgiven me. Apparently a couple of treats and a ride with the windows cracked erase all medical betrayal. If your pet needs routine care, vaccines, or just a team that treats them like they matter, this place has earned my trust. And if they can keep a muscular pit bull happy after a handful of shots... they've probably got your golden doodle covered too. Zola is now fully vaccinated, thoroughly spoiled, and currently acting like she survived open-heart surgery. As she should. 🐶

Only vet in the upstate that was able to fix my cat's severely broken leg. She's alive, has 4 legs & we are so grateful to Dr. Holtzclaw & his entire staff for the care they took of her...and of us!

If they had eleventy seven katrillion stars it wouldn’t be enough. Such compassion. Caring. Skills are beyond anything I’ve ever seen and I’m old! (Kinda old but real old). The entire staff truly care. And that means so much and do NOT get me started on Dr Holtzclaw. This man has forgot more than most will ever know. He…I can’t say all he means to us for the care he has given my pets, my parents pups, my friends..people I don’t know but I see the interaction. He CARES! And has crazy skills. Excellent diagnostician. Good man. I drive 45 minutes to get here and I’ll do it every day. They are that good.

Dr. Holtzclaw and his staff are knowledgeable and compassionate. They never hesitate to do what is in the best interest of my dogs. I trust Dr. Holtzclaw’s judgment and appreciate his knowledge! I am very appreciative of the care my dogs have received!
